Where did you grow up? Where are you now?

I grew up in a military family so we moved around every 2 years or so but my mom retired in Fairbanks, Alaska where I then lived for 12 years so I consider it home. I graduated high school there and then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to go to college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where I'm currently studying political science.

What’s a typical day like for you?

A typical day for me is usually going to a shoot or going to work. I try and take my puppy to the beach as much as I can so I try and squeeze that in so he can have some fun! Then in the afternoon, I usually cook my boyfriend and I dinner and then we watch an episode or two of our show and start on our school work.

Tell us about an accomplishment that you are most proud of.

I feel like my biggest accomplishment was the realization that I'm not the person I want to be or I think I am just yet. Realizing and knowing what you're doing wrong, how you think and what makes you act certain ways is very important. I've never been the one to think very deeply about anything but this realization has made me know myself even better.

What was your biggest obstacle when trying to achieve this goal?

My biggest obstacle was trying to be honest with myself. People have this image in their mind of who they want to be and who they want to be seen as but most of the times, that image isn't who you are. My biggest obstacle was confronting that and having that conversation with myself about what I needed to change, from my faults, my shortcomings, my bad habits, and more. Being constantly aware of that allows you to change into the person you want to be.

What would you say is one of the most important qualities for a woman to have in the modeling industry?

You really have to love yourself. The media is constantly telling girls what looks good, what you should look like, selling products that will make you look "better." Its really difficult to not feed into that, I know, but being aware of it is a must. I feel like the most important quality you can have in the modeling industry is to be able to stick up for yourself and love yourself.

Where is your favorite place that you’ve traveled to?

My favorite place I've traveled to is Jasper National Park in Alberta. It was just absolutely beautiful and all the wildlife you get to see, the bears, the birds, the elk, the caribou, just amazing. I would live there if I could.

Tell us about a goal of yours that you are still trying to accomplish.

I'm very big on planning so right now I'm just trying to accomplish a plan for the future. I really don't know what I'll be doing then but I would really like to figure out where I will be working, what I'd like to be doing, where I'd like to be living, etc.

What is your guilty pleasure junk food?

Funyuns, I can eat an entire bag in one sitting. It's horrible.
